At its annual general meeting held at AX Hôtel in Mont-Tremblant, the SADC des Laurentides proudly shared the highlights of a dynamic year. Despite an uncertain economic climate, the team delivered meaningful results and showcased its adaptability.
$1.3M Invested in 34 Projects: A Growth Lever for the Region
Throughout the year, the SADC des Laurentides granted $1.3 million in business loans, enabling 34 projects across the region. These investments sparked an estimated $2.8 million in local economic impact and led to the creation or maintenance of 159 jobs.
To better support emerging needs, three new strategic funds—Succession, Green, and Digital—were introduced alongside the new “Coup de pouce” loan, providing businesses with fast, tailored financial support.
Customized Support and High-Impact Local Projects
With nearly $60,000 allocated to local development, the SADC backed initiatives that generated over $290,000 in regional investment impact. These included:
-
Industrial symbiosis projects,
-
Innovation in the forestry sector, and
-
Support for the Mont X Incubator, a new space dedicated to outdoor and wellness entrepreneurship in Mont-Tremblant.
Entrepreneurial mentoring played a key role again this year: 32 entrepreneurs were supported by 23 volunteer mentors, totaling over 600 hours of mentoring time.
The Labo·Entrepreneur·e program reached 19 businesses, while two local companies represented our territory at the provincial finals of the Défi OSEntreprendre.
A Human and Strategic Shift in Leadership
This year marked a significant transition at the helm of the organization. Jean-Sébastien Roy stepped into the role of Executive Director, succeeding Sylvie Bolduc, who led with vision and commitment for over 15 years. Marie-Christine Rhéaume joined the leadership team to steer local development and communications.
In a context marked by entrepreneurial caution, the team redesigned its services, refined its offerings, and leaned on the strength of its network to provide agile, human-centered support.
Volunteer involvement—whether through mentoring, advisory committees, or board participation—remains essential to this shared mission.
