It is with great pleasure that we welcome a new mentor to the SADC des Laurentides. Jean-Pierre Lortie has joined the mentorship service for entrepreneurs and is now available to support business people.
Coming from the field of information technology, Jean-Pierre quickly moved into a managerial role. He had to develop his management style to make his teams efficient and agile in a creative and complex environment. He admits that he was not directive with his employees, preferring to listen to them and arrive at solutions that highlighted their ideas, in order to truly engage them. This is how he sees himself supporting his mentees. If he is a mentor today, it is to give back to the entrepreneurial community, but above all to meet entrepreneurs and continue to learn from his peers. Having experienced various phases as an entrepreneur, he knows he will be able to support people facing challenges by helping them develop their management skills and their ability to let go, even in more difficult moments.
There is no doubt that Jean-Pierre will be able to leverage his experience in his role as a mentor and that he will be a reassuring presence for the entrepreneurs he supports.
