The Laurentides SADC celebrates mentorship at the Regional Recognition Gala

In collaboration with four other regional organizations, the Laurentides SADC proudly celebrated the commitment of regional mentors during the Regional Recognition Gala held on November 21 at the Val d’Espoir Cultural Centre in Mirabel.

This event, organized by the Laurentides Regional Mentorship Network Committee (CRMLAU), brought together around 100 people who came to applaud the dedication and accomplishments of mentors. The evening featured two main segments: an inspiring presentation by author and speaker Jacques Hébert, followed by an award ceremony recognizing mentors who have made a significant impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Laurentides.

The Mentorship Network’s recognition program is built on five distinct levels, celebrating various aspects of engagement: years of involvement, the number of mentees supported, the duration of mentorships, community contributions, and network outreach. During this gala, nearly 50 mentors received awards, including seven who reached the prestigious Diamond Level, the program’s highest distinction.

In our region’s two RCMs—MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut and MRC des Laurentides—the following mentors were recognized:

Diamond Level:

  • Louise Lapointe
  • Martine Paiement
  • Sylvie Laganière
  • Sylvie Florent

Gold Level:

  • Claude Rousseau

Silver Level:

  • Daniel Drolet
  • Michel Savard

Bronze Level:

These distinctions reflect years of invaluable support, significant contributions to the entrepreneurial community, and the positive impact these mentors have on our territory.

Mentorship: A cornerstone for entrepreneurs

The Mentorship Network plays an essential role in supporting entrepreneurs by fostering enriching relationships with volunteer mentors. This assistance goes beyond business concerns, contributing to the personal and professional well-being of individuals behind businesses.

In the Laurentides, five organizations coordinate mentorship services, representing nearly 100 mentors and mentees. These stakeholders, including the Laurentides SADC, are pillars of regional entrepreneurial development, providing tailored local management to meet community needs.
