SADC des Laurentides: Supporting Partner of La Ruche Laurentides

SADC des Laurentides is proud to announce its new role as a supporting partner for La Ruche Laurentides, a 100% Quebec-based crowdfunding platform, whose mission is to invigorate and enhance the visibility of regions.

La Ruche has been operational in the Laurentides since last March, offering local entrepreneurs access to an additional financial tool to realize their projects. SADC des Laurentides and La Ruche share very similar missions, which is to equip entrepreneurs for success in their endeavors. This makes it a very natural alliance that will benefit businesses in our territory.

Here are some ways crowdfunding could be useful for you:

  • Raise initial funds for a new project;
  • Validate interest for the service or product in development;
  • Discover exclusive grants for certain types of projects;
  • Mobilize the community around your project;
  • Diversify your funding sources;
  • Add credibility to your project and potentially unlock other loans and/or grants.

As an example, consider the campaign of a participant in the 4th edition of the Labo Fondement. This campaign was enhanced with a $75,000 contribution from the Accès Croissance Fund, a grant developed by La Ruche and the MEIE, available only through the platform (awarded to projects that have applied and been admitted).

Additional Information about La Ruche:

  • La Ruche is currently present in 16 regions of Quebec and will be active in all 17 regions by 2025;
  • Through its crowdfunding platform, it has raised over $35 million from the public, benefiting the communities and regions where it has been active since 2013;
  • More than 169,000 people have contributed on La Ruche’s platform, thus helping to stimulate the local economy and support Quebec entrepreneurship.
